It is with much prayerful consideration that we have decided that in the midst of this Coronavirus pandemic, it is best to postpone our regular services for the present time. We will begin with postponing our meetings for at least the next couple weeks in hope of resuming services by Easter Sunday. At this time, we believe it is most responsible to follow the CDC recommendations and keep our gatherings under 10 people. Do we want to do this, absolutely not. However, for the betterment of our church and community and in effort to help slow the spread of this Covid 19 virus, we are going to take similar precautions as those of our schools, businesses, organizations, and other churches. We believe it is a wise and prudent policy to maintain some reasonable social distancing between yourselves and other groups of people. While we will not be meeting in person, we will make every effort to connect through online avenues. We will use Facebook, YouTube, Zoom, and other means to stay in touch. Also, we will remain active within our community through volunteer opportunities that are currently underway and will surely arise. In this time, the Church must be the Church understanding that the River of Life is more than a building and more than a social gathering on Sunday mornings. Please stay tuned for more information as we move forward and seek to set up online studies, classes, and meetings. We will be encouraging our Sunday School leaders reach out and stay connected with their classes throughout this process. We encourage our families to engage together in Bible Study and prayer. We will do our best to make tools available and of course we will continue to with our “Let’s Read the Bible Together” YouVersion Bible app reading plan. Lord willing, I will be available and maintain an office presence in the church for as long as I am healthy and able. I would love to help you connect with various personal and family Bible studies and assist our leaders in setting up virtual meetings etc… Feel free to email, call, text, even stop by. Finally, in order to press forward with our ministry goals financially, an online giving platform has been added to our church website and we hope you will continue to remain faithful in your giving. Rest assured, we are not in panic mode, nor are we shaken to the core with fear. We will survive this trying time—River of Life will survive this trying time. Through it all, the name of Jesus will be praised.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
For His Glory!
